Default Dreaded passat oil pan drop

To be honest with ya'll, I've joined this forum because I stumbled upon the awesome post on how to drop the subframe of the passat to take out the oil pan and I had to join to see part 2. Really a frustrating day to waste so much time on what should be a relatively simple task. And I'm doing all this just to FIND the damn problem without knowing if there's further damage or not. Gettin really pissed today.

So my daughter wound up with zero oil pressure and says she drove it that way for 15 minutes. OMG. Oh well, with the aid of this forum I'll get the pan off and see where I'll go from there.

Read the other FAQ post with the example videos on how to check for damage, possible main bearing damage, cam+turbo damage, pistons are normally OK. The engine can be saved but it may be faster-cheaper to part it out and buy a used one.
