Default VIN decoding on VW Touareg TDI

I am looking for my first Touareg TDI. Can you tell from the Vin what packages are installed on a specific vehicle? I would like a white 2010 with air suspension, Lux (limited if I can!) package and the tech package. I suppose all those little numbers tell the story, but google isn't helping my out. All the VIN decoders i am trying just give me the basics that I already know. Most dealers say it is" fully loaded", but as we know, there is a wide range of fully loaded! SO, my request is this, how do we tell from those middle 8 letters what packages are installed in a touareg?

Thanks
Jim

Yes you can but only the dealer has access to the very long list of codes. They have to look it up. EDIT: keithuk has given a nice link below, nice find!

If you really want the tech package, look for HID headlights and the RNS 510.

There's a build code in the trunk in the spare tire well that lists specific equipment but I highly doubt a salesman will go digging in there for you, they'll just tell you to come down and see for yourself to get you into the lot. And you'd also have to know what the build codes mean.

Welcome to the forum.

You can tell what things were fitted to the vehicle by the p-code numbers on the Options sticker one half of that sticker is in the service schedule and the other half is on the boot floor. If you type them into this site, all the characters from 3. down.
