At any rate, I added a little over 1 gallon of AdBlue fluid; and the llow AdBlue light and 250 miles remains on. Does anyone know if it takes a while for that light to go out, or did the ECM software update somehow flummox something? |

how many miles are on the vehicle ? it holds enough adblue to drive 10k and it holds alot more than 1 gallon, after we fill up during a service we have to use the scan tool to reset the interval.

Someone said you have to add at least a gallon and leave the ignition on for at least 30 seconds, I don't think it was you otherwise you'd have already done that!

There have been reports (?)here(?) that the low level light goes out after simple additions of the AdBlue fluid. Of course, that still doesn't explain why it shows 250 miles on the first indication by the light, when it's supposed to have been 1500 miles. |

Ross Tech provided me with an unverified procedure to clear the warning using the VAG-COM. It worked.
Since it is unverified, they do not want it published on the forums. Looks like the deal is that, once the warning is triggered, you have to use the scan tool to clear it. If the warning is not triggered, you can add the AdBlue fluid to your heart's content for as many miles as you travel; and that warning will not come on - just as long as you stay ahead of it. Also, it appears that this ECM software update has changed the warning interval. Last edited by DUTCH VanAtlanta; 09-29-2011 at 10:09 AM. |
