Default TPMS warning and reset

I put snow tires on my 17 inch rims which made a big difference.
TPMS light is now on the dash. Same size tires on the same rims. Nothing happens when I push the reset in the glove box.
Any ideas? Thanks, Bob

Well Bob if you don't have the direct TPMS which has the pressure sensors in the wheels you should only need to press the SET button in the glovebox to calibrate to the new wheels and tyres.

Does it ping when you press the SET button?

Have you driven to see if it'll go off after you reset it? Are your tire valve stems stiff or rubber? If rubber you have indirect, if stiff you have direct, here's some more notes on the system: http://www.myturbodiesel.com/1000q/a...g-light-vw.htm

Yes, make sure you have done what Chitty said...after pushing the reset, it just tells the CECM that you want to recalibrate. You'll then have to drive several miles for the system to lock in on the RPMs of the wheels relative to speed. Once it has calibrated itself, the light will go out.

Also, if the car came with the reset button in the glove box you have the indirect system
