Thanks guys for the tips. I have an 8 gig SDHD card. I will try to reformat the card and start all over again. All I did when I got the card was load it with the songs. As far as the radio # I am not sure, I will have to search my book to see. It is a 6 CD changer with buttons on each side of the face to select AM, FM, Media, satelite, etc. The CD slot is at the top of the radio and the SD is at the bottom. No navigaion.

1> Make sure you format the card as FAT. Also, if you are using a non-Windoze machine find a Windoze one. I had to dual boot over to Boot Camp to format mine on my Mac. Using Disk Utility, even set to FAT, would not make the card readable.

2> Known to work (at least on the newer, smaller 310's): SanDisk Ultra 8 GB card. It what I use! Claims to transfer at 15 MB/s on the card.

I have read all of your suggestions. I do have a 8 gig SDHC card I am trying to load. I did, as one suggested, and reformated the card. It still did not see any thing on it when I plugged it into the radio. As one suggested, I may have to buy a standard SD card and try that.
The one thing I did try was go into my computer and click on help. It came back telling me Windows does not have a program to transfer songs to a card and that I need to buy a program. I plan to stop in at Best Buy or some thing like that and consult with them. I am due to take the car in for it's one year, 10,ooo mile check up the middle of December. Since it is a good distance to the dealership I will not consult with them any sooner as to get their take on how to do it.
I had already consulted with them before on the blue tooth phone feature. They explained it to me and got it working but I still have not been able to use it effectively. I guess I am just old and a duffus when it comes to this new fangle stuff.

Highlight and right click on the files you want to move. Then left click on copy. Go to the SD card folder and paste them. You don't need any special program to transfer songs.

Yes, as Chitty said, you don't need any special program. After you reformat the card in the computer, the card is WIPED CLEAN...nothing will remain. You need to transfer the MP3 files to the card again. If this doesn't work, there is a reasonable possibility that the card is somehow not compatible with this unit. In general, an 8 GB SDHC card IS compatible, but sometimes certain brands of cards may not work. If you can, find another card to try.

Thanks for the tips. I will try another card. The right click copy & paste is how I moved the songs. They will play on my computer but not in my car. I have a 2 gig card in my game camera. I will try that one. I am closing in on getting a bigger hammer.

Well the handbook says you can compile/use a wpl a Windows Play List if you want to make one and stick it on the SD root. I have one on there and it still plays all files randomly thats how I like it.
