Good luck! I think VW's fix is still just a band-aid and not a true solution. They need to stop the moisture from being introduced into the system in the first place. Now when your car does this again you will be out of warranty.

yeah, that's what I'm afraid of...I plan on checking for moisture and cleaning every 10,000 miles from here out...a huge inconvenience and PITA, but its worth avoiding this in the future.

Default Thanks for posting repair

It is nice to see that they replaced your intercooler for you, I am still waiting for mine. Spoke to a diesel mechanic that has been running his own shop for 20 years. He suggested to clean the intake every october. I look at it as a regular maintenance. Will update when mine has been installed.

Default Fixed for now

I got my car diagnosed 1/17 and just had the intercooler replaced on 2/1, just about 2 weeks to get the parts.
Does anyone know what order the AC Condenser/Intercooler/Radiator are in? I When looking through the front grill the outermost radiator like piece wasn't replaced, i'm hoping that isn't the intercooler..
