Default MK6 GOLF TDI sideview mirrors

Actually, there are 2 items I wish to address here: 1) the owners manual says that the side view mirrors can be set to adjust down automatically when the car is placed into reverse. I followed the instructions in the owners manual, however, I do not have a "mirrors" option in my convenience menu on the dash display.
2) are you able to deactivate the annoying horn beep upon locking the doors. The locking of the doors is audible enough, plus the lights flash to confirm.
As always, thanks to everyones input. John

1. Here is the FAQ about the MFD menus. http://www.myturbodiesel.com/1000q/a...display-VW.htm That option is only on cars with the highline door modules which was never equipped in the US except on 2005.5 Jetta (probably only the package 2 but not 100% sure).

2. Yes. Referring to the MFD faq, it's "ATA confirm".

For any readers who have on highline trim Canadian Golf TDI, you don't have an highline instrument clusters so the only way to do this option is through VCDS. http://www.myturbodiesel.com/1000q/a...com-tweaks.htm

OK. Thanks for the info. So this is NOT something the owner can do without VDCS? John

You can enable the option to show up in the menu which is how I took the picture of the option but I can guarantee that it won't work unless you have the highline door module. I'm not sure if adding a highline door module would even work because it might need an extra wire...or maybe not. I've never seen a retrofit of the door module and they are rare since it was decontented the first year of the mk5 production. I'm not sure if the mk6 part is the same (probably is).
