JSW financing incentives for January - Good? Bad? Historical data?

Hey All,

If all goes well, I'm buying a JSW TDI soon. My wife and I are debating over just how good this month's special incentives are and I'm hoping that you experienced folks can put this into perspective for us:

• Volkswagen is currently offering 1.9% for 60 months on 2012 Jetta SportWagen. They do not exclude the TDI in this advertisement as best as I can tell. Expires: 1/31/2012.

• VW is also offering a Special College Retail Program which waives the first month's payment. I may be nearing 35, but I completed an MBA less than 2 years ago which I think qualifies me. Expires: 1/10/2013.

The above seems damn good. I've looked for historical incentives but haven't come up with much. How do these incentives, specifically the 1.9% for 60 months compare with prior incentives? Does anybody care to speculate what next month might look like? Is there any trending historicity in VW's incentives that we might be able to garner some expectations from?
Any insight is very much appreciated.

1.9 APR is a pretty good rate. I would jump on it.
However, the fine print giveth and the fine print taketh away. So I would read all the fine print and expect caveats, quid pro quo's and all the other gimmicks.
However, generally, VW is pretty good with its incentives and programs. I am really surprised that this rate would include the TDI cars, as VW does not have to deal on them to move them.
I have purchased two new VW's and financed them through VWMC with no issues.
