The "reset" procedure worked on my '11...without resetting anything else, either! Thanks for the tip. Here's what I think is happening: I believe that "reset to factory" actually means "reset to fixed (as in, long-coded) settings". It probably reverts the MFI-adjustable features to whatever the settings are in the long coding. If you've made the change in the long coding, it now considers that to be the "factory" setting, and so does not bother to change it...that's my guess, anyway.
