Default Hardshell battery box??
VW states the 2012 Golf TDI's should come with a hard plastic battery box. Not so on my 2012; instead it's just a soft insulated cover. Did they do this as a cost cutting measure on all 2012's or is something amiss with my car?

Its a soft insulated cover on mine.

They stopped using the hard cover sometime between 2007 and 2008. Can't believe they haven't corrected it. False advertising.

Sheesh... with all the money VW makes, you'd think they could hire someone to proof their websites!!
