Default Golf TDI Part Compatibility

Hello,

I thought i would make my first thread here. I just had a quick question about part compatibility between the VW GTI and the VW Golf.

Would i be able to install a GTI front grill on my Golf TDI? Is it a simple matter of buying the parts and installing them? Or does it require more intensive modification?

I also wanted to install HID headlights on my Golf. Is that a simple matter of changing the bulbs?

Lastly, is there a specific website that you all would recommend for parts? Something that is relatively painless in ordering and reliable? I found this one:

http://www.vwpartsdepartment.com/

But i will of course defer to your opinions on the matter.

Regards,

D

Welcome to the forum.

Toeball is the one to ask as he fitted a GTD grille to his Jetta I'm sure it can easily be done?

Where you would get a new GTI grille from apart from a dealer beats me Toeball will tell you?

Installing Xenon lights is a bigger job but Toeball has done that as well.

No disrespect intended, why would you want a GTI badge on a TDI? I chose the TDI and I'm proud of it! I wish they had a TDI badge fro the front. Just my 2 cents!

I wondered that cjtorres thats why he's better fitting the GTD grille like Toeball unless his car is red and he wants the red strips as well?
