Golf R LED tail lights w/o fog lights:

VCDS info change - Byte 18 = 1F

Yeah, I'm jealous. I installed a set on my dad's Golf and the quality is just superb. Shame they don't make them for the JSW. This guy fabbed up a set by cutting apart a new set of JSW and Golf R lights and merging them, and I'm tempted to copy it, but it's a lot of work, so probably eventually.

I'm pretty ignorant on this stuff. The benefit to LED is better visability or longer lasting bulbs?

Both. LEDs light up much quicker than incandescent bulbs and they last much longer.
