the yellow Emission Light (Malfunction) lit up on my 2010 VW Golf Wagon with 44000 Km. The dealership was closed so the car wasn't inspected by the dealer yet. Has anyone else seen this problem? Thanks, |

Are you talking about the DPF light (the one that looks like a muffler)? Your DPF might be clogged and a force regeneration may need to be done. (at the very least)
Please try to be more specific about which malfunction light it is...

The manual on page 81 calls it Malfunction Indicator Lamp. It is on the lower right side of the tachometer dial.

In that case it would be the check engine light. It is not specifically related to emissions. This can be a wide range of problems with the engine. Your dealer will be able to pinpoint a specific error code within the computer. You may want to check that your fuel cap is tight first, sometimes that is enough to cause the light to come on.

The car was fixed by the dealer under warranty. The problem was the exhaust pressure regulator valve. Apparently it was getting stuck.

Ahhh yes, the good old exhaust pressure valve. A few have experienced this problem. Glad it was taken care of!

"exhaust pressure regulator valve"
What happens if the exhaust pressure get too high or too low? |
