Default Bi-xenon headlights

Does anyone have one of these headlights on their JSW or golf and wanna post pictures?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/DEPO-2010-up...t_12390wt_1031

or

http://www.xtralights.com/10volkswag...itpackage.aspx (These don't say they're bi-xenon, they are probably just low beams)

They look really nice. If you do have one of them, how is the build quality?

Or if you have any other aftermarket projector xenon headlight and would like to post pictures feel free! I can't stand halogens even if there is a tiny vw symbol in them.

I don't think the lens provides enough beam control on those housings to run HIDs. I've seen photos of the second ones on, and there's a fair bit of glare to oncoming traffic. There's a guy on Vortex converting the original halogen housings to HID by installing Acura HID parts. This is a bit spendy, but it looks way better than either of the ones you posted, and doesn't blind oncoming traffic.

I installed the OE bi-xenon housings with LED DRL's on my JSW and am very please with the results. It's the most expensive option, but it's also the highest quality option. I drive a lot at night, since I go to work around 5 am, so headlights are not a place I was willing to skimp.

Toeball,

Definitely the OEM xenons look the best! They are just so darn expensive! Where did you get yours?

Mine came from BKS-Tuning but they're available over the parts counter now.

Thanks Toeball,

I looked at bks tuning website and the ones you have are $1239 + $67 shipping (link below). They come without any bulbs ballast or anything like that.

http://www.bks-tuning.com/epages/171.../VWGOL076-0001

These (link below) are from Hella, they say they are adaptive for $998 + $100 Shipping. They also say they are OEM? Maybe they just saying they LOOK like the OEM? However, it doesn't look like they have the cool audi LEDs like yours does.

Alright, well cool, thanks for the info.

Yeah, Hella makes the housings for VW, and both are OE. The second ones are without the LED DRL's. It actually has city lights which are used as parking lights but they use a halogen bulb.

Do you know where to buy the bi-xenon lamps? I have previously bought xenon conversion kits from ddmtuning.com for just a low beam. And what kind of bulb is it? I've looked online and I think it is an H7? But I'm not sure. Thanks again!

The dealership parts counter. Also, some of the dealerships, Checkered Flag and Keffer, for example, give a discount. It uses an D1S bulb at 35W and has a shutter to switch between low and high beam.

I've been doing some more looking and wanted to post some more links.

I really like this headlight set because it has LED turn signals and the LED DRLs.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/120642170373...ht_4372wt_1031

These are some LED tail lights, I've seen a TON of cool ones for the golf, but these are the only ones I've found for the JSW. Do any of you guys have LED tail lights or do you know of any?

Cheers,

Jeff

I'd like to get some cheap front projectors, with LED turn signals and DRL's. If anyone has the ones from eBay, please let us know how "plug-n-play" they are. and if any extra modifications are needed to get everything to work correctly.
