Wow. What an amazing repair. The guy is certainly an artist. Most repairs like that would end up finished with Bondo and paint.
He didn't really "sand it out" in the conventional sense. The sanding was first to find the high and low spots and after that, to restore the original patina to the finish. Very little metal was removed by sanding. Last edited by Ol'Rattler; 10-15-2011 at 06:03 AM. |
