Default What an amazing job you've done!

I can't believe how much effort you've put into the FAQs. Talk about a labor of love!

The TDI Club is a wonderful resource, of course, but searching for specific, detailed info in a well-organized format is often a disappointment. I imagine that was one of your motivations in creating your extensive, comprehensive and well-organized FAQs (?)

Congratulations on what must have been a Herculean effort, although one you obviously enjoy.

Thanks, that is exactly my intention.

The majority of the content is original. The rest is inspired by other forums, including the vortex, the club, and a few others. A little bit is mirrored because it's too valuable to be lost. I try to avoid mirroring because some people are very territorial so I ask permission when possible.

In addition, I don't want this content mirrored because I often update the articles. If the content is turned into .pdf or mirrored then old information will get passed around.

Late model content, such as the BRM engine timing belt writeup, will be added as it become available.

There is nothing better than this site to look for answers on our TDI repair needs, Chitty has kept this forum tidy with flying colors, we could not be more greatful to him about all his efforts that he put in to keep it this way. props to Chitty.

Default Wowwwwwwwww

Your site is just mind blowing awesome. I'm going to send an email Monday to Bently Publishers and send them a link to this site and tell them how pathetic their repair manuals are compared to your works. Maybe Bently should hire you. This is how all repair manuals should be made. I just spent $70 on a slow cd manual and learned more from this site in 20 minutes than searching for 2 hours in Bently. The timing belt change was unbelievably thorough with video to boot. Just for my own personal use I'm going to mirror this site in my own computer just encase this site ever goes down and I won't need to be on the net to use it. Do you take donations? Looking forward to using you site very much.

Thanks for the good comments, if you like the site don't be afraid to refer it to other sites to help it grow instead of sending it to Bentley or VW. Attention from them can't help and therefore can only hurt. Examining web traffic statistics, I see robots which crawl the net looking for anything which remotely could be copyrighted and then collect a commission when they bring it to the copyright holder's attention. I ban these bots whenever possible along with other secret anti-spam techniques.

A personal mirror and use is fine but I often update and fix old articles. For example, reviewing the mk4 ALH timing belt article, I noticed that some pictures were stretched and messed up. It's a combination of internet crossed wires? site publishing software, and FTP limitations. Basically, the picture was correct when I wrote it but it somehow was wrong when I viewed it and I've since fixed it. If you mirror then the wrong picture is still there.

+2, good job on the site, I've noticed a lot less spammers than elsewhere too. If it's anything like email spam you must get constant viagra pitches.

This is a great site for TDI information and knowledge. Just bought an 09 sedan and could not be happier.
