Ironpen, keep in mind, everyone I know that drives a TDI including myself routinely in most cases average significantly better than EPA mileage numbers in most types of driving. Also, are you really that off-put by a 1mpg decrease city and 3 on the highway if you got the DSG (assuming that these data are correct)? You must check your tire pressures hourly
