Iceman, I paid under 7 grand (total, with tags and title) for the new car, got a bonus on the trade in, and worked with a VW rep and then through a wholesale dealership which has treated me very well.
I have no complaints for the people I worked with later in this car's saga, but there were plenty I would not work with again from the earlier meetings.
I was in the same dealership today and was saddened to hear that they had checked over the trade in, decided nothing was wrong, and re-sold the car
already! I know there is an issue, VW knows there is an issue, and sadly another person now has an 'issue' car. tsk tsk tsk VW.
