Introduction

This article shows how to remove the glove box in a VW Passat.

The glove box has an air conditioning port in the front wall (noted in white text in the below pictures).  If you open it and turn on the air conditioning, items placed in the glove box will be chilled.  Please post your comments or blog about this article in the myturbodiesel mk4 VW TDI forum.

T-25 torx screwdriver

Color changes: around 2003 satin black became anthracite, and sunshine beige became beige.  See 1000q: how to read VW and Audi part numbers for some insight into reading the numbers below.

DIY removal procedure

Open the glove box door.

Remove the 3 torx screws along the top and 2 or 3 torx screws along the bottom.

Remove it as an assembly.
